Ever since the war in Iraq has started, the United States has spent over $467 billion. With the war still going on, the prices of good went up and the funds for global warming have decreased. Bush claims that hes going to raise money for the community, but does he really have time for that? and is he really going to do it? On "September 27, 2007, the United states hosted representatives of 17 world leaders and the united nations in the first major economies meeting on energy security and climate change." This meeting discussed the plans to reduce greenhouse gases emissions, increasing energy security and efficiency, and promoting economic growth. This meeting was held to reflect on nations energy sources, future energy needs, and development and priorities. This made the people reacted positively of bush and decided to contribute to this meeting. Bush's goal was to reduce greenhouse gases by the end of each year. But we will never know his work until it's done and that's when it is the end of each year.

What is the President going to do?
Activist and Protesters?
With factories and people increasing, does the government care about the environment? or is it just for the money? During these past decades, trees have been cut down to build houses and buildings for the governmental use and for the people. But is that what the people really needs right now?
On Wednesday, August 30, 2006 Protesters appeared on a governmental opening of a new nuclear power station in Hartlepool, Teesside to protest about the nuclear energy. At 8 a.m. about 20 activists posted signs and banners across the fences saying "NO MORE" while forming a human line laying on the road to block people from entering and starting their work. They claim that "earlier in the year, the government said nuclear power could make a 'significant contribution' to the future energy needs." But all these nuclear plants have done was pump out 20.8m tonnes of carbon dioxide every year. The protesters wanted them to stop this factory and restore the damage they have caused.
What is happening today?
The government has been using millions and millions of dollars to create nuclear power plants. But too many power plants can diminish our energy and create chaos in our environment. A group of musicials were formed to help tell people about the governmental plans with energy. They claim that "Congress contains a clause that could force tax payers to underwrite constructions of an unknown number of new nuclear power plants." This means that the government has been building more and more nuclear energy power plants and if we don't step up and do something now, we wont be able to stop them then. Nuclear power creates more problems to the climate crisis. The terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 made it clear that every atomic reactor had radioactive mass destruction. If all these nuclear weapons were launched, chemicals would be lead out and would create mutations, diseases, and transformation in a human body and changes in climate. But if we are able to stop these nuclear power plants before the nuclear weapons are built, we might be able to stop the crisis. If we are worried about global warming, we can not ignore these nuclear power plants.
"Something happening in here.
what it is? isnt exactly clear.
thers a man with a plan ...
im telling you we've got to beware.
we've got to stop! whats that sound?
Everybody look whats going down!"
How to save energy?
People should be more concerned about saving energy because it’s a limited source. Since most of our source of energy are non-renewable, (e.g. electricity, oil, fossil fuels, and uranium) we should save the energy and use less of these supplies. Here are some ways how you should help the environment and save energy:
- Buy energy saving light bulbs or less waltz light bulb.
- Don’t leave things turned on or plugged in if you don’t need it because the energy is still flowing through and it will still use electricity.
- Use fans instead of air conditioners. Air conditioners use a large amount of energy. Fans, on the other hand, is not as cool as air conditioner but would still make a cool breeze.
- Take shorter showers and use less hot water. To make hot water, you need energy and electricity to power and heat it up. So the longer showers you take the more energy is used.
- Don’t use batteries and switch to rechargeable batteries. Batteries are heavy metal toxic that are highly dangerous. When batteries are discarded onto landfills, the toxic can seep into the ground water and onto our food chain which can kill animals. Instead of throwing away batteries into trash cans, we should take them to a toxic waste disposal area if possible.
- Use a broom instead of electronics or water to clean the floors. We need to save water and electricity. A broom would do just as fine as those mechanics.
- Try not to buy too much things at once. Many people buy too many things at once which turns into waste. Once the food expires, it would be wasted and dispose.
- Buy reusable things to save natural resources. This reduces the use of landfill space.
- Recycle scrap papers, cans, paper, and bottles.
- Recommend a friend or family member to recycle and reuse.

What is Energy?
Energy has been used ever since it was first discovered. It is one of the most useful and used source of element in this world. Energy is converted from one form to another, but is never created or destroyed. It is used to create electricity, heat, oil, natural gas, and coal. Energy is a "scalar physical quantity" that is a property of systems and objects conserved by nature. It is the ability to work and to make things work. It is a substance that comes in different forms such as thermal, radiant, mechanical, chemical and nuclear forms.
There are many types of energy; solar, biomass, hydro power, ocean energy, wind, geothermal energy, uranium, and fossil fuels. And in this world, energy is used in everything. Energy is needed to play sports, make food, and travel to space. "Energy is there to make sure we have the power to do it all." No, it is not wrong to use energy; but it is wrong the way one uses it. With the technology today, energy would be used twice as much. Energy plays a very important role in our everyday lives and society,it is also a very limited resource; we need to learn how to renew and conserve energy before it runs out.
